QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Resident in İstanbul Anatolia side or İzmit
- University degree preferably in the field of mechanical engineering or industrial engineering,
- Certifications in supply chain management, procurement, warehousing or related area will be a plus,
- Up to 10 years of supply chain management experience, 3-5 years should be leadership level,
- Effective & high leadership skills by navigating the team in a relationship business culture,
- Effective communication skills, able to listen employees, 3rd parties and clients,
- Understanding of the organizational development and change management of operations,
- Ability to adapt to strategies to all divisions within the operation & working environment, while making the team meeting the high standards,
- Capable of managing ambiguity,
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects involving multiple resources with defined deadlines/Schedule,
- Ability to interface, build relationships and collaborate with internal and external customers,
- Native: Turkish Fluent: English,
- The ideal candidate would either step forward/up to the position or would also just “change the job” with very similar dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the professional atmosphere and capability of the department,
- Enforce the highest ethical standards,
- Design and implement standards from scratch and achieve improvement to supply chain to support the growth and customer focus,
- Improve responsiveness to customers and reduce operating expenses and working capital,
- Proactively engage in the growth of supply chain department,
- Ensure effective leadership skill sets and training to meet goals and evolving business needs,
- Develop inventory management strategies and programs to ensure maximum inventory turns, best price, high quality and consistent support to just in time style manufacturing and high availability,
- Mentor, develop and provide training to drive process standardization and rigor in all planning and materials management activities,
- Work with key members of the production, product development, sales, engineering, manufacturing and quality functional areas of the business,
- Develop and contribute to the S&OP processes/metrics, guidelines and policies,
- Drive relentless focus and organizational execution on following key supply base metrics: Delivery (OTD), Inventory (DOI), Supplier Quality (PPM), Cost (Material Savings),
- Manage the day-to-day supply chain and materials management functions to achieve key metrics – on time, at planned cost and quality collaborate with operations to develop and execute make/buy strategies,
- Drive and ensure suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives including lead time reduction, flexibility to schedules, quality improvement & inventory reduction (entire supply chain), in conjunction with platform and divisional functions,
- Manage the operational logistics function including import/export.
