Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering, metallurgical and materials engineering, industrial engineering, or a related engineering domain
• 1-2 years of professional experience in a related field, Preferably have 1-2 years experience as supplier quality engineer in an automotive manufacturing company
• Preferably familiar with IATF 16949 certification and have knowledge of the quality assurance tools (APQP/PPAP/SPC/FMEA etc.) needed in supplier quality and including auditing (auditor training/certificate preferred)
• Ability to supply base and build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams,
• Analytical thinking, enthusiastic, self-motivated and energetic,
• Good command of written and spoken English,
• Preferable to understand raw material and electronic components,
• Emotionally resilient and able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex, multi-disciplined environment
• Proficiency in office programming (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Able to travel extensively to suppliers
Job Description
• Quality performance monitoring and reporting, especially those related to materials/suppliers customer program-related quality assurance activities like e.g. quality plan reviews, process/personnel certification, implementing customer requirements, handling customer complaints, etc,
• Monitor supplier quality and overall performance by evaluating supplier rating results, supplier nonconforming material reports, and quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs), corrective/preventive action responses, and root-cause investigations in order to develop effective actionable information,
• Supports and assists suppliers to reduce the total cost by eliminating waste in the supply chain process. Use 6 sigma and lean manufacturing/lean enterprise tools to drive the results,
• Closely working with production teams to maintain product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and implementing new approaches,
• Leading the supplier complaints handling and following up the supplier complaint actions on the process,
• Leading the supplier audit and following up the actions for supplier improvement points.
• To review the customer specifications starting from tendering stage and record special requirements to follow during the execution stage of a project, To follow the risk assessment process for semi-finished and finished to force ‘’part qualification’’ process if needed,
• To lead the fulfillment of ‘’part qualification’’ process requirements,
• Finding new suppliers and involving them in the quality process
• To perform first sample inspections and prepare a report for approval of the samples,
• To customize supplier ITP with the contract specific requirements and make sure they serve as inputs to the project risks, design reviews, and FMEAs,
• Implementation of the established and integrated quality system with respect to quality policy and quality objectives to reach the Unit’s targets and meet customer satisfaction,
• To prepare and contribute to the supplier quality scope when Customer visits/audits
