Wedding Specialist

What you will be doing:

· Handles special events and wedding bookings of the hotel generated by the travel agents and end clients in Turkey and abroad.

· Makes local sales calls to an agencies and wedding planners in Istanbul and abroad to present the hotel and establish a good relationship.

· Records all sales activities in Opera

· Conducts house tours to potential clients

· Submits weekly and monthly sales reports to the Director of Sales

· Works to exploit the new destination wedding and suggests them for the S&M Plan.

· Establishes and maintains good relations with the contact people in all accounts.

· Implements all policies, procedures of the hotel.

· Participates in to the functions to entertain key decision makers and bookers.

· Promotes all special programs of the hotel.

· Provides feedback to the DOS & DOSM on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone or direct mail.

· Has a knowledge of F&B • Participates monthly Sales & Marketing meetings and daily brief.

· Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. • Her monthly personal sales call target is 5 and telephone call target is 15.

· Makes sure that a proper correspondence is answered within 24 hours, checks regularly to have an up to date and orderly filing

· Issues group memo or BEO one week prior to arrival of his/her special event or Weddings and distributes to related departments

· Assists the operational departments with a smooth flow of information received from client and makes sure the operation is a success

· Handles the clients requests during the operation

Your experience and skills include:

· Minimum 5 years wedding & special events planning experience in an international 5-star hotel

· Bachelor's degree in reputable universities

· Fluency in English & Turkish

· Must possess a professional presentation

· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

· Highly responsible & reliable

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
