QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
• Translating documents in the context of natural sciences, technology and regulatory issues
• Translate text (mainly) from English to Turkish
• Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone
• Doing required DTP (desktop publishing translation) on document determining the final content of a text
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure that translations are true to the original meaning
• Coordinate translation work with translation offices
• Check the quality of documents translated elsewhere
• Help the regulatory team with English/Turkish translations and terminology Translator
Requirements:
• Must be fluent in Turkish and English
• Proof of language fluency
• University education on Translation and interpreting or American culture and literature or English language and literature or something equivalent
• Must have prior 2-3 years work experience in technical translations • Knowledge on terminology in Turkish and in English related to natural sciences and technology
• Good IT-skills • Project management skills
