QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Assan Hanil is looking for a Test and Performance Engineer – R&D (CAE) who will work for Test and Validation Department in Research & Development Directorate.
Test and Performance Engineer will be responsible for executing test plans/test procedures, documenting test results, managing the performance of components/systems and to provide analysis of gather test results. Test Engineer will also work closely with the development team to provide technical support, assist with troubleshooting on internal problems, and using data/findings from testing to propose solutions and suggest improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test programs for automotive interior and exterior parts.
- Work directly with design and project engineers to create design validation test plans.
- Recommends, designs and builds new test equipment as required for performing tests
- Establishes test timelines and equipment limitations and communicate to project responsible and Manager.
- Perform component, system validation under dynamic and environmental conditions
- Work with design engineers to validate and refine models.
- Analyse test data and write test reports.
- Develops and defines new test procedures
- Investigate root cause of failures and help to drive product improvement
- Supports calibration of test equipment
- Conduct continuous improvement projects
- Support and organize outsourced testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
- 2+ years of experience in physical testing and analysis of mechanical (thermal or electrical) systems.
- Automotive component/system testing experience (preferably seat and interior parts), including certification testing (ECE regulations etc.).
- Preferably having experience with Python/Matlab or other data acquisition and analysis software.
- Design of test setups for mechanical and thermal performance testing, such as fixtures for shock and vibration testing.
- Experience creating and executing design validation plans and test methods to validate performance to requirements.
- Experience creating analytical and numerical models of mechanical (thermal or electrical) systems.
