QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

As a part of a Multinational Company, we are seeking for a 'Tool Engineer' to join the team of our company.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar disciplines),
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on process development area (preferably on rubber molding technologies in automotive industry),
  • Excellent ability to use CAD softwares to develop 2D or 3D design prints (preferably Autodesk Autocad, Autodesk Inventor),
  • Technical background with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering,
  • Analytical/Statistical Tools & Methods - Knowledge of a wide range of problem solving tools & methods, including statistics, combined with the ability to select & apply them to make data based decisions to sustain higher levels of process or product quality. Six Sigma experience at Green-belt level or RedX Apprentice experience is reason to preference,
  • Knowledge about management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001),
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external interaction in English with good intercultural understanding as well as no restriction for travelling abroad,
  • Well structured, organized, efficient and accurate working method,
  • Willing to work hands-on at the shopfloor for sustainable problem solving while ensuring standardization and organizational learning.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Designing of the rubber molding tools & processes (compression, transfer, injection) acc. to latest technical company guidelines,
  • Use CAD software to develop 2D or 3D prints of the new molding tools and following the revisions & documentation procedures,
  • Managing of the new tool launching process and organizing the revisions if requires.
  • Improving and standardization of the existing tools acc. to latest technical company guidelines,
  • Observation and analyzing of existing processes and propose innovative and to-the- point solutions,
  • Evaluate alternative technologies to create robust, reproducible, and scalable next generation manufacturing processes,
  • Offering technical assistance, participating to root cause analysis and action definition for downtimes and quality problems,
  • Participating in problem solving teams, execute process improvement projects which result in increased productivity, reduced scrap rate or a reduction in operational risk by using proper tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Redx etc.),
  • Works with Operation team to identify problems with performance or tool life and recommends solutions or enhancements, using a data driven approach to predictively schedule necessary actions to minimize tooling cost, scrap rate and machine downtime,
  • Technical troubleshooting by using failure analysis tools in cooperation with internal / external customers and suppliers; presentation of results and processes,
  • Independent project planning / coordination in accordance with the agreed-upon development process and in adherence to the specified project milestones,
  • Alignment and support of the HSE-related activities to further drive towards Zero Incidents,
  • Present ideas and data in cross-functional meetings.
