QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

A.Ş on 2010 after partnering with Pratt & Whitney, which is a division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), one of the leading organizations of the aviation sector. Kale Pratt & Whitney has a total of 16.250 m2 facilities in Aegean Free Zone; the company is one of the leading aviation companies in Turkey and its facilities contain many special processes. The company was founded with a 51% Kale Group and 49% Pratt & Whitney partnership, its main field of activity is the manufacturing of aircraft engine parts and subassembly groups.
We are looking for a ‘Tool Warehouse Engineer’ our company which produces aircraft engine parts in Aegean Free Zone, Izmir.
- University degree from Manufacturing / Mechanical departments,
- 5+ year work experience in cutting tool technologies especially in cutting tool manufacturing, machining & assembly tooling and fixturing. (Aviation industry experience is a plus),
- Participate in the team's daily start-up stand up GEMBA meetings to communicate challenges/opportunities & track KPI’s closely,
- Uses cost reduction methods to logically organize Tool Warehouse Inventory based on need (usage) and value (cost),
- Observation & analyzing of existing processes & tools and propose innovative & to the point solutions,
- Work with VSM & Engineering Supervisors to establish process methods which minimalize tool, fixture, and assembly equipment exchange time,
- Work with operation team to identify problems with performance or tool life and recommends solutions or enhancements, using a data driven approach,
- Predictively schedule necessary actions to minimize tooling cost, scrap rate & machine downtime,
- Technical trouble shooting by using failure analysis tools in cooperation with internal customers; presentation of results and processes,
- Implement guidelines to control operational costs; assign and oversee Tool Warehouse team to achieve tool, fixture, assembly equipment efficiencies, productivity and cycle time,
- Must be able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, detailed drawings and documents, and be capable of doing mathematical calculations,
- Assure that products are of the highest quality by ensuring calibration specifications,
- Maintains accurate stock levels via cycle counts,
- Balance Tool Warehouse labor resources to satisfy the ever-changing workload of the facility,
- Must be an effective communicator with all levels of the organization,
- Ability to train and effectively mentor Tool Warehouse team as needed,
- Assisting in developing department capital and expense budgets,
- Willing to work hands on-at the shop floor for sustainable problem solving while ensuring standardization & organizational learning.
