QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for highly qualified and talented individuals to join ourAVL Research and Engineering Turkey organization in Istanbul.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design of automotive systems or components
- Experience with Passenger Car and / or Light Commercial Vehicle projects would be a plus
- Experience with CATIA V5, preferably additional experience in Siemens Team Center
- Excellent GD&T knowledge and experience
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (and preferably German)
- Experience in working with international team(s) would be a plus
- Good communication, presentation, and planning skills
- Willingness to travel abroad
Thorough knowledge about at least one of the following:
- Thermal Management System Design (e.g. HVAC, P/T Cooling, Air Ducts and Tubing)
- Electrical Wiring Harness Mechanical Design (e.g. LV, HV Cable routing and fixations)
- Vehicle Body Structures Design
- Vehicle Chassis Systems Design
Job Description:
- Responsible for design of systems / parts
- Aligns with other engineering disciplines (D&R, simulation, test and manufacturing)
- Plans and formulates his/her own workflow to meet specified part / system release deadlines with minimum or no supervision
- Prepares and presents concepts and design alternatives according to project requirements
- Prepares geometric 3D models of parts and assemblies according to packaging, tolerance and clearance requirements
- Prepares detailed 2D drawings in accordance with project drawing standards and GD&T principles
- Develops design of components/systems in a simultaneous engineering environment in collaboration with other related design engineers
- Takes part in design reviews and technical discussions
- Supports internal Research & Development projects
- Contributes to DVP / Quality / DFMEA / PFMEA processes
- Contributes to total value management (TVM) activities
