JUNIOR VESSEL OPERATION SPECIALIST

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

· Managing Marmara Region calls of a Cosco Shipping Lines services:act as a go-between for ship planner and terminal (service name to be determined).

· Negotiationg and arranging berth on arrival with terminals before vessels’ arrivals.

· Monitoring & Sharing vessel schedules with partners & CS Lines Turkey offices.

· Monitoring vessels under cargo operation & updating Ship planner timely.

· Keeping in touch and work in a co-ordination with CS Lines’s sub-agent for all agency related matter.

· Sending load/discharge lists & cargo plans to relevant parties

· Controlling Turkey’s allocation by keeping in touch with marketing (MSD) department & Head Quarter (HQ).

· Assisting transshipment cargo procedures.

· Inserting OPD related data to CS Lines’s software system.

· Preparing OPD reports, when necessary.

· Following up “job order” process with finance (FAD) department.

· Backing-up other Istanbul OPD colleagues, when/if necessary.

General Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime business, international trade, etc.
  • Knowledge of maritime and logistic industry.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Previous internship or work experience will consider as a plus.
