QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
As TPF Getinsa Euroesturdios, we are looking for a Welding Expert to join our team for supervision of a transport infrastructure project in Trakya Region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a civil engineering. In case the absence of Bachelor’s degree, a specific professional experience of 7 years;
- Good knowledge of English
- Minimum 5 years general professional experience,
- Minimum 3 years of specific experience as welding engineer.
Scope of Services:
Support is required from a suitably qualified and experienced expert to work as a Welding Expert and a member of Construction Supervision Team for:
- Responsible for all kind of supervision of welding works of the Works Contract.
- Responsible for verification of the rules on nationality and origin as specified in PRAG for any subcontractors and materials proposed by the Works Contractor.
- Responsible for verification of the materials, equipment and/or goods purchased by the Works Contractor.
- Responsible to check the worker’s receivables including the workers of the subcontractors of the IPC according to Article 36 of 4857 numbered Turkish Labour Law.
- Responsible to review the proposed subcontractors by the works contractor and verify their competency to complete the works that they are assigned to.
- Responsible for all necessary precautions regarding the claims from submitted claims, providing detailed information with respect to them to the Contracting Authority and providing guidance.
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the executed works fully complies with the Technical Specifications of the Works Contract, national laws and regulations and European Standards.
- Responsible for monitoring the execution of the welding works and record the progress of the works in order to secure the timely completion of works within the contracted budget.
- Responsible for check and control the plant and materials intended for works in terms of quality, quantity, programme and eligibility.
- Responsible for supervision of all commissioning tests and inspection.
- Verify accuracy of As-Builts
- The Construction Supervision Team consists of several experts and will be coordinated by Civil Works Team Leader. The Welding Expert shall work under the management of the Civil Works Team Leader and shall collaborate with other construction supervision team members.
