GENEL NİTELİKLER

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager, Local Business Line (LBL) Marine Systems, Turkey, Marine & Ports Division. You will be responsible to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for complex systems sales in a profitable way by identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within the marine segment in the defined geographical area. The role will be part of the LBL Marine Systems Sales team in Norway.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure achievement of established targets such as: orders received, margins, market share and customer satisfaction in the area
  • Ability to work from an early sales phase until contract negotiations and getting it signed Understand customer needs in the market by visiting the key stakeholders (Owners, Shipyards, Designers). Perform customers presentations. Build and maintain strong relationship at decision’s maker level on the key strategic customers.
  • Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Monitor competitors’ activity. Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the Turkish market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Works together with the Project Manager to ensure a tight communication to the customer and takes ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Member of the project team to take care of customer relations in all or selected projects in the Turkish market.
  • Responsible for analyzing lost proposals to increase future competitiveness. Takes ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan in case of potential order shortfalls. Provides regular quarterly reports of the area sales and marketing activities.

Your background:

  • A relevant education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level
  • At least 10 years’ experience within the Marine/shipbuilding environment
  • Strong network with key stakeholders
  • Experience on systems sales, even better if within power and propulsion systems
  • A business-driven mind-set with customer focus
  • Strong interest for new technology within low- and zero emission
  • Self-driven personality
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English,
  • No obstacle for traveling.
