QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for “3D CFD / Engine Performance and 1D / Turbocharger Aero Analysis Engineers”for BMC POWER located in Istanbul-Teknopark (Kurtköy);

The requirements and job descriptions have sub sections for each analysis positions which also include in parenthesis which sub category is required for which engineering job (3D CFD or Engine performance or Turbocharger Aerodynamics)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduated from Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar programs of the universities
  • M. Sc. and/or PhD degrees are preferred
  • Experience in Defense or Automotive Industry
  • Preferably; 3 years of experience in one of the following areas:
    • Engine performance and flow system modeling (Engine Performance and 1D Modelling)
    • Fluid mechanics and CFD (3D CFD)
    • Turbocharger Aerodynamics, Meanline Analysis, Turbocharger 3D CFD (Turbocharger Aerodynamics)
  • Enthusiastic for working in the field of internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric mobility
  • Experience in using at least one of the software lists below:
    • GTsuite, Ricardo WAVE, AVL Boost and AVL MoBEO (Engine Performance and 1D)
    • StarCD, StarCCM+, CFX, Fluent, OpenFOAM and Converge (3D CFD and Turbocharger Aerodynamics)
    • SoftInWay, AXstream, Concepts NREC tools, ADT tools (Turbocharger Aero)
  • At least basic level of experience using CAD Design tools, preferably CATIA
  • Proficiency in English
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and proactively engage in design activities

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Performing analyses in one of the following areas:
    • Engine performance, cooling system and lubrication system analyses in ICE (Engine Performance and 1D)
    • 3D CFD analyses in ICE sub-systems and components (3D CFD)
    • In cylinder combustion (3D CFD)
    • Turbocharger meanline and 3D CFD analyses (Turbocharger Aerodynamics)
  • Contributing to the design and development of engine sub-systems by reporting analysis results and performing safety check
  • Create complete, timely and organized analysis reports to the team leader
  • Striving for developing and documenting new analysis methodologies applicable to technologies in Defense and Automotive Industries
  • Participating engine test activities and examining the test data which will be used for model correlation.
  • Engaging in design activities and directing the design in the area of expertise (areas of expertise as stated above)
