QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
RES is the world's largest independent renewable energy company, based in the UK, delivered more than 22GW of renewable energy projects across the globe, and supports an operational asset portfolio exceeding 7.5GW worldwide for a large client base. As RES in Turkey, RES Anatolia, we have been developing wind and solar projects since 2009.
We are looking for a "Project Developer" who has the following qualifications and will be working in our international company's expanding and growing organizational structure.
Direct Line: Project Development Manager
Assignments:
- To assist the Project Development Manager and team with the existing projects and identification of new wind and solar sites
- Support the team for new wind and solar tenders
- Preparation of projects for prelicense applications
- Support the team for financial model creation and updates
- Assist with internal development procedures preparations and approvals
- Establish and manage relationships with the third parties involved in projects development: governmental offices, regulatory authorities, elected officials, public services, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, residents, landowners, farmers, etc.
- To participate in the procurement of land rights: negotiation with landowners & follow up with government authorities
- Assist in the preparation and communication of reports, records, budget, timeline, and notes on the projects internally and externally
- Coordination of the dedicated project team composed of technical and engineering team members
- Getting turbine layouts, energy yield studies, location bindings for wind measurement masts from the technical department
- Getting road designs, technical data of forest permit plans, base maps, ground studies based on turbine models, energy transmission line data and permits, zoning and expropriation permits, turbine costs, CapEx and O&M costs
- To follow related regulations and sub-regulation with the projects and ongoing business
- Support the team on the collection of construction permits
- Support Business Development with Data room preparation
- Working on consultancy contracts with Legal department
- HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment)
- Respect quality and safety procedures within the company
- Participate in the definition of development procedures & policies for the company
- Participate in or initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement of quality & safety procedures
- Fulfilling the duties and services provided along with any further responsibilities to be entrusted to by the decision of the Representative of the Employer, the General Management of the Company or by any of first-line superiors and to perform all duties expected of the position with the due diligence and skill required of a person in such a position and to participate in trainings allocated
- Any other project development activity
Requested skills
- University degree in Engineering, Urban Planning or Environmental Studies
- Min 2-3 years of experience in renewable energy (wind&solar) projects development
- Very good command of English both in written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
- Knowledge in ArcMap, Quantum GIS, Google Earth
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to details, solution provider, adaptability, capacity to manage a project in the long term, good planning management, team management
- Active driving skills and driving license (B)
- SRC driving license
Experience and knowledge below are not required but considered as a plus:
- Construction experience of wind & solar farms
- Knowledge in power purchase agreements
- Knowledge in asset management of wind/solar power plants
- Knowledge in hybrid power plants regulations
- Knowledge in EPIAS market operations
- Experience with modeling atmospheric tools (WAsP, WindFarmer, Meteodyn WT, OpenFOAM)
- Knowledge/ Competence in atmospheric modeling (Mesoscale or CFD)
- Experience with mapping tools (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, QGIS)
- Knowledge in statistics
- Basic understanding of the requirements, implications, and key deliverables of an energy yield estimate and working experience with PVSyst
