Responsible for all matters related to cost of supply for assigned categories.
Establish and implement strategies and lead procurement activities (sourcing events, negotiations, data analysis, projects, contract lifecycle management, supplier development and selection, data management, etc.) to optimize costs, working capital, and terms; and minimize financial and operational risk.
Assure material flow of assigned categories into respective Gates sites.
Responsible for supplier performance, capacity, and to develop poor performing suppliers.
Implement and maintain KPIs to monitor and improve performance of managed supply base.
Conduct recurring business reviews with assigned suppliers.
Ensure suppliers are compliant to Gates supply agreements and requirements.
Build stakeholder alignment to support initiatives.
Identify and develop suppliers to support new product development.
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree preferred in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Science
Minimum 5 years experience in industry
Excellent analytical and project management capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication across regions, functions, and levels; fluent in English Excellent negotiating capability
Collaboration and influence management skills; works effectively in a matrix organization
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRP/supply chain systems
Preferred: CPSM (ISM) or CSCP (APICS) certification Preferred: prior experience in commodity management, category strategy development and implementation
Preferred: Experience in driving large scale transformational VA/VE projects within a global cross functional setting
Preferred: experience in a manufacturing environment
