QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

An opportunity has arisen for a Contract Administrator / Specialist to work for contract and dispute management processes within the Contracts Management Department of İltekno!

Key Responsibilities:

In General:

  • Identifies technical and commercial contractual terms in coordination with the relevant Customer, Sales Managers, and Legal & Regulatory Units and establishes draft contracts for the relevant customers, subcontractors, and related parties within the company,
  • Negotiates the contract terms with customers and subcontractors,
  • Engages in initiatives for solutions/outcomes that will minimize risk to the Company's interests in contract management work and follow project contracts,
  • Follows the process of mutual signing of the contracts with the customers,
  • Advises what immediate contractual actions are required at the start of the contract,
  • Identifies potential claim events and preparing strategies for dealing with them together with the project team if required,
  • Follows international/local practices related to the activities for which he/she is responsible and coordinates activities to improve existing forms of work and processes. Prepare frameworks and other contract formats for basic business models,
  • When necessary for the execution of the contracts, managing the processes and correspondence with banks, financial advisors, legal advisors etc.

Project Specific:

  • Contract and Commercial management of an Engineering, Procurement, Construction contract of a Power Plant Project out of Turkey,
  • Both in contractual and commercial terms, in coordination with the project management team to support the healthy and proper execution of the project,
  • Provides suggestions for the actions necessary for the evaluation and resolution of disputes,
  • Identifies potential claim events and preparing strategies for dealing with them,
  • Advising or actioning the claims, including the collection of all necessary evidence and records,
  • Ensuring the necessary coordination and communication in the matters required by the contract. Ensures that the management and project team are all aware of the essential provisions of the contract,
  • Participation in risk assessment & management processes of the project related to the contract terms,
  • Manages record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation,
  • Manages collections and payments related to contracts,
  • Managing the stakeholder and related party communications,

Experience / Qualification:

  • Graduate from universities’ Engineering or Business Administration departments,
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Contract and Commercial Management experience,
  • Knowledge and experience on various types of contracts such as EPC Contracts, BOO/BOT Contracts, FIDIC Contracts, Aftersales Service Contracts, POs, LOI, NDAs etc.
  • Knowledge of Contract and Commercial Management and skills,
  • Preferably good command of French both writing and speaking,
  • Excellent command of English both writing and speaking,
  • High presentation and reporting skills,
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office Programs,
  • Good communication and negotiation skills,
  • Analytical thinking and solution oriented,
  • Careful and meticulous,
  • Highly skilled in planning and strong in follow up,
  • Can work alone but also a good team player,
  • For the male candidate, military service should be completed,
