Danfoss Power Solutions has an opening for a New Product Development Engineer
Location: Çerkezköy
Our Çerkezköy site employs around 3000 people, manufacturing a portfolio of hose products.
Job Description
The Engineer will be expected to use engineering technical expertise and project management knowledge to carry out new product development and R & D Center projects. This role will be responsible for establishing project inspection criteria, coordinating the review of project design and ensuring the proper implementation of project elements.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Leader or Technical Leader for New Product Development ProLaunch projects or multiple small RPS type projects
- Drive global localizations and rationalization projects with global engineering team as Project Leader or Technical Leader
- Follow technological developments and to make patent applications within this cope.
- Proficient application of core Engineering tools/ principles, industry best practices and recognition for technical expertise. (Design Rules, DFMEA, writing Engineering Test Reports, Testing, Eng. drawings)
- Researcher in R & D center projects and to provide follow up of project cards.
- Lead VA/VE cost out projects
- Record of contributing to improvements in technical or project management processes. Actively participate on Task Force Teams
- Establishing engineering standards, technical drawing and bill of materials for the commissioning of new products.
- Prepare raw material / material specifications to be used in new development products.
- Demonstrate use of problem-solving techniques.
- Give technical support to our sales department, Product managers and Purchasing team.
- Participates in technical customer and supplier visits. Taking part in trade fairs and technical organizations.
- Taking active role in product engineering tasks in quality system audits
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills
- New graduate to 2 years experiences.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Mechanical/Material Engineering degree or equivalent appropriate experience is required.
- Advanced level of English speaking, writing, and reading. The second language is preferred.
- Proficient application of the core project management tools/principles, industry best practices and recognition for project management expertise. Successfully leads multi-functional project teams
- Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with functions outside of Engineering for the common good of Danfoss
