We, as the Smart Grid organization within Siemens Turkey R&D, are focusing on research and development of software products and solutions for Power Grids domain. We are mainly located in Ankara ODTU Teknokent and we are working together with worldwide partners.
We are seeking DevOps Engineers to define and develop the development environment and the CI/CD infrastructure of Grid Control Software initiatives for management of electrical power networks.
What are my responsibilities?
- Leading implementations of distributed and automation technologies in customer environments, including docker, IaaS toolsets, git, container orchestrators, and continuous integration platforms
- Providing technical leadership on delivery team engagements, guiding the team through implementation, and acting as the delivery teams’s primary technical point of contact
- Forming technical architectures from customer environment assessments using appropriate toolsets in modernizing workflow by improving reliability, scalability and increasing overall resource utilization.
- Developing deep technical expertise in emerging container and CI/CD technologies and educate other team members.
- Working within international software development teams across global locations to research, design, document, develop, automate, monitor, maintain and support DevOps processes/steps (such as build, release, cloud deployment, version control, branching, and merging etc.) for contributed on-premises and/or cloud development projects,
- Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards and guidelines,
- Participating and proactively contributing to an agile environment according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) process,
- Supporting the development teams in the efficient use of technologies and tool chains (such as Git, container, Artifactory),
- Facilitating the collaboration between Global and Local teams,
- Taking ownerships in Siemens wide organizational roles to support working as One Global Team.
