QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor or master’s degree preferably in Engineering, Economics, Financial Engineering, or related fields,
· Preferably 1-3 years of experience in Turkish Power Market,
· Knowledge of Turkish Power Market Regulations and trading concepts,
· Knowledge of physical power plant assets,
· Trading and negotiation skills,
· No restriction for 7/24 shift working,
· Strong communication, conceptual thinking, and multitasking skills,
· Strong written/verbal communication skills in English,
· Strong command of Microsoft Office applications,
· Military service completed for male candidates,
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Dispatcher/ Intraday Trader you are responsible for the economic optimization of the company's assets within intraday and balancing power market on 7/24 basis. Moreover, you are responsible for taking real-time dispatch and trading decision in emergency situations like power plant failures. You execute dispatch, nominations, and balancing activities. The decisions of the Dispatcher/Intraday Trader have immediate financial consequences. Therefore, the level of responsibility is high.
Task & Responsibilities:
· Commercial & Technical understanding of company’s power plants
· Commercial optimization and dispatch of company’s assets within intraday and balancing power markets and day ahead market (maximize profit and minimize cost)
· Taking commercial decisions at spot natural gas market
· Minimize losses in emergency situations like power plant outages through quick decision making,
· Understanding & Implementing current relevant regulations,
· Keep in close contact with trading counterparties and the grid operator,
· Keep in close contact with Generation business unit regarding the expected availability of power plants,
· Monitor and balance the asset portfolio in continues shifts (7/24-hour shift),
· Leading role during night- and weekend-shifts in decision making for assets,
· Reporting on realized dispatch P&L and market reports,
