Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar position
- Having cement, iron-steel, glass or similar industry experience is an asset
- Good knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental technologies
- Good communication and persuasion skills
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary environment
- High learning agility, analytical skills, high persistence
- Being mobile to travel all Akçansa plants and facilities in Turkey when required
- Advanced level of English (both in written and in spoken English)
- Having driver licence (B class) and active driving skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Hold official responsibility of Environmental Engineer at Akçansa Plants (Cement, RMC, AGG, Ports) when required
- Follow-up and reporting of environmental KPI’s of the plants
- Develop projects for environmental efficiency at plants
- Follow-up best practices all industries, coordinate/support the implementation of them
- Conducting environmental trainings
- Involving in ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, bringing in and taking part in improvement projects
- Managing the communications with Environmental Ministry of Environment and Local Environmental Authority by frequent/regular visits
- Follow-up national and EU legislations, preparing company assessments for legislation drafts, reporting impacts of legislation changes risks/opportunities for company
