QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

• Participation in implementation and monitoring of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems in electricity distribution operations

• On work site and contractor site monitoring of day-to-day compliance activities with local regulatory requirements, lender and other financial institituions’, shareholders’ and investor environmental requirements such as Equator Principles, IFC/WB Performance Standards and EBRD Performance Requirements, GRI ESG Standards

• Follow up of regulatory permits and license activities and support in ensuring full compliance with Turkish Environmental Law and applicable regulations.

• Participation in development and monitoring environmental targets including GHG emission reduction actions and corrective/preventive environmental action/management plans.

• Implementing and monitoring Pollution Prevention, Resource and Energy Efficiency, Ecosystem Risk Assessments and

• Biodiversity Conservation Plans, Aviation Protection Plan, Cultural Heritage and Chance Find Management Plans

• Preparing regular monitoring reports for site activities, ISO 14001 requirements and participation in preparation of regular monitoring reports for shareholders and Lenders

• Participating carbon and water footprinting studies, Carbon Disclosure Project and Sustainability Reporting activities

• Carrying out regular site inspections and participate internal audits to monitor conformity of all compliance requirements

• Work collobaratively with all other related departments such as Finance, Investor Relations, HSE, Engineering and operational teams for above-mentioned duties

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering

• Minimum 2 years field experience in a company/project that utilized international finance

• Having a deep knowledge of national environmental legislation (environmental permitting and auditing, waste management, chemical handling and storage, water management, soil management, emission control etc)

• Knowledge of IFC/WB/EBRD Sustainability Guidelines

• Fluent English in both spoken and written

• Having valid drivers’s licence and actively driving

• No restriction for travel

• To have ISO 14001 EMS internal auditor certificate

• ISO 50001 EnMS knowledge will be an asset (preferrable)

• Proficient in MS Office applications
