QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals – mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite – and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals. We seek for a Financial Controller who will be responsible for Turkey and Iran operations and the ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor degree from a related department
- Minimum 4-5 years of audit experience in Big4
- Additional 6-7 years of finance experience in production / manufacturing sector environment (total min 10 years experience)
- Command on local accounting and solid IFRS knowledge
- Good command of spoken and written in English and Persian would be a plus.
- Excellent command of MS Office applications,
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Financial reporting, budgeting, and planning techniques
- Good command of SAP (FI, CO, MM )
- Ability to take initiative and action
- Strong orientation to end to end processes.
- Team working and good communication skills
- No restriction to travel
Job Description
- Ensure Group reporting by preparing all group standard reports
- Ensure the monthly closing activities including all transactional activities(CO closing, settlements, allocations, CO/FI reconciliations)
- Prepare variance analyses (actual vs standard costs) to detect inefficiency points and propose improvement plans to management
- Propose EBIT improvement, cost reduction and ONWC improvement actions
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc analyses for internal management and Group
- Manage and maintain standard cost and transfer price processes
- Preparation of yearly budget and long term plans
- Prepare IRR calculations for new investments
- Supporting Finance Director in internal control actions
- Supporting Regional Controllers in specific process or profit improvement projects
