Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in economicsor administration from a reputable university in Turkey or abroad
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial controlling in an international environment, including a sound experience in an audit firm
- Experience in a Managerial position for minimum 3 years with a Multinational Company
- IFRS/US GAAP knowledge with a Turkish CPA Degree
- The candidate must have a sound knowledge of the Turkish tax system as well as being at ease with multicurrency accounting issues and tax implications
- Good knowledge of SAP Modules and MS Office
- Advanced analytical skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as proven managerial aptitude and excellent communication skills
- Fluent English
Job Description
This position functionally reports to the Admin & Finance Director based in Izmir and dotted line reports to the Group Controller based in Switzerland, the position will mainly be responsible for:
- Organizing and managing the activities of the finance and accounting department and ensuring the proper distribution and delegation of tasks;
- Coordinating and preparing the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 3-year operating plans and ensuring timely submission to Group headquarters;
- Coordinating and preparing the budget for the cost-center for which he/she is responsible and participating in the preparation of the annual budget;
- Preparation and timely submission of the financial reports in accordance with the TFRS for Turkish Commercial Code requirements and US GAAP for internal management and Group reporting requirements;
- Regularly checking for amendments in the accounting and tax legislation and ensuring their correct implementation and application;
- Supervising the Chief Accountant and taking overall responsibility for the correct preparation and timely submission of tax statements, declarations to local tax authorities as well as BA/BS forms and social security declaration reconciliation with HR and related payments, Transfer Pricing documentation;
- Accurate preparation and timely submission of various reports and documents required by the Central Bank, Statistics, Tax and other authorities;
- Maintaining contacts with external and internal stakeholders including external auditors;
- Providing Management with ad hoc analyses whenever required;
- Designing, developing, and optimizing of controlling tools and reports based on current business needs and requirements;
- Providing commercial support in the calculation of pricing models and the preparation of investment proposals;
- Participating to the improvement of financial and business processes.
