QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Foreign Trade Operations Unit Manager for our head office in Beyoğlu.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline
  • Min 10 years’ experience in International Trade & Customs
  • Excellent knowledge of International Trade processes and Customs Compliance both in Turkey & EU
  • Management skills, team management experience at least two years
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Energic, dynamic, hard-working
  • Open to new aspects, flexible
  • Innovative approach, practical thinking, coordination and organization skills
  • Working Experience in complex, stressful, demanding and highly cross functional environments
  • Strong team player who is adept at managing multiple priorities and working with various internal and external customers
  • Problem solving and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Job Duties

  • Executing and ensuring smooth processing of export/import operations, ability to create solutions under related legislation/regulations and develop complicated international trade and customs structures.
  • Optimization and re-engineering of international trade/customs process flows to improve efficiency and low-cost base.
  • Knowledge of Contract Management in terms of all types of Payment Guarantees, Incoterms, Documentation, Cargo Insurance & Claim Processes, Logistics, Customs Operations & Compliance
  • Close contact with customers, suppliers, customs brokers, logistic companies, surveyors, banks, financial institutions, insurance brokers and all related parties within the company.
  • Letter of Credit Management, deep knowledge and understanding of all the related rules in scope of ICC.
