QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are a multinational company located in İstanbul/Asia side.We are looking for “General Ledger Team Lead”,
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance or related
- Min 5 years’ experience in process improvement within GL/Financial Accounting
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior and intermediate members of staff.
- Fluency in English required, additional European languages are preferred (beneficial languages include, but not limited to, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Polish)
- Solid knowledge of SAP
- Experience of working in a shared services finance role preferred
- Strong communication skills are essential
- No military obligation for male candidates
Job Description:
- Review and be responsible for GL related matters by the team as per SLA
- Ensure maintaining operational dashboard; on a regular basis, track and publish operational metrics achieved by the team and improve efficiencies
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures
- Manage the team for the month end close to ensure the deadlines & deliverables as agreed
- Ensure preparation of Bank Reconciliations and ledger account reconciliations
- Lead and mentor a team within the newly created Shared Services Centre
- Ensure maintaining “master data” process, GL changes, post journal entries, GL reconciliation, expense claims
- Develop and maintain positive, professional attitude at all times and delivers outstanding service for both internal/external customers
- Monitor and review of accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Generate segments of statements and reports
- Carry out financial analysis of data
- Assist in monthly close procedures
- Support and ensure resolving accounting discrepancies
- Support preparation and coordination of audit processes
- Support enhancing process efficiencies and internal control
