QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
HSE Common Processes:
· Developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for the organization. Performing risk assessments, enforcing HSE policies, training employees on safety matters, and investigating workplace incidents.
ISO Management System Standards (responsible for 14001 and 45001, cooperative for 9001&27001&50001)
HSE Standards: Implementation of VG standards for HSE aspects for Bozüyük Plant (incl emergency management)
Environment:
· Environmental targets and programs: Describe, how targets are defined and environmental programs are derived from various inputs like the environmental aspects, the compliance obligations, etc.
Waste Management:
· Waste Management: Manage waste and wastewater generation, characterization, minimization, collection, separation, treatment, and disposal. Implement and improve Zero Landfilling Model in Plant BO, conduct the Ministry Audits and sustain the certification.
Health & Safety:
· Risk Assessment: Risks within the working system and its interfaces are known, evaluated and effective safety measures are implemented
· Hazardous substances: Management of hazardous substances is ensured and legally compliant.
· Analyses of accidents and incidents: Do analyses of accidents and incidents, Search for root causes, and define preventive actions to avoid repetition.
· Health surveillance: Ensure that workers receive health surveillance appropriate to the health and safety risks they incur at work, measures shall be introduced in accordance with national law and / or best practices.
ISO Management & Audits:
· Conduct internal system audit: Conduct internal system audit according to ISO 14001 and 45001. Support group-wide external audits: Track implementation of corrective actions, plan corrective actions, conduct GAP-analysis in relevant audit areas (LRQA). Support Internal system Audits: Track implementation of corrective actions, plan corrective actions, conduct GAP-analysis in relevant audit areas (VG). Conduct the social audits (TUV- SEDEX)
· Represent the company for Ministry Audits (Environmental and Labour) and manage the internal processes
External Affairs & Representation:
· S.E.E.D.S (VG Sustainability Program) Ambassador: Perform annual analysis of the current situation, evaluate the sustainability aspects according to given criteria. Data collection from the after-sales department to be measured the carbon footprint of Turkey and collaborate with the head of Sustainability of VG related to this issue
Competencies
BSc degree in Environmental and/or Chemical Engineering (Master’s or PhD is preferred)
At least 10 years of experience in sustainability, environment and waste management.
Deep understanding of 6 Sigma Methodologies, ISO Norms and legal legislation
Legal knowledge at basic level (preferably justice or law education)
Profound knowledge of QHSE methods and auditing (quality, environment and safety);
Advanced language skills in English (preferably German)
Proven management & communication skills.

ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor Certification
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Internal Auditor Certification
ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System Internal Auditor Certification
NEBOSH Certification (International Workplace Health and Safety Cert.)
Occupational Safety Expertise Certification (A or B)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
