QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Optimize the Production organization’s assembly/lining methods, processes, and equipment in order to minimize labour hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety. Travel around the region and support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Correctly use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel around the region as a lining expert to execute lining operations on customer site or Weir locations.
- Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process in order to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.
- Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality and cost requirements.
- Ensures the production process complies with the project targets. Approves the design for processes developed internally or externally and performs final tests with respect to the project.
- Provides support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
- Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria and external provider choices.
- Give full reports (in English/Turkish/Russian) on system conditions and the activities for production
- Manage and supervise the assembly team his/her assembly area. Support all Weir product portfolios (rebuild and assembly).
- Conducts all types of assembly work to produce a semi-finished or final products/system, including the packing where integrated with production lines. Work is typically done manually or by using tools.
- Conducts shop floor operation in compliance with health & safety guidelines and reports anynon-compliance.
- Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering background (mechatronics or mechanical engineering)
- Good knowledge of English, Turkish and Russian.
- Knowledge of lining (Cold bonding, hot bonding, spool lining, ceramic etc.) is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD are an asset.
- SAP knowledge is an asset.
- Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean and/or TPM activities is preferred.
- Experienced in assembly processes & problem-solving methods.
- Motivation to search and investigate deep technical topics
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Result oriented with focus on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated capability to successfully partner with peers and senior business leaders.
- Experience with MS Office and modern communication tools.
- Driving licence is mandatory.
- Military task should be completed for male candidates.
- Candidate should be located or has no obstacle to live in Istanbul / Kocaeli
