Position: Merchandiser

General Overview
Work with Sales/BDMs and supporting departments to provide quality customer service, achieve sales budget and hit the goal. Be responsible for new projects development and orders following up, control risk and make sure on time delivery and client satisfaction. Maintain good relationship with suppliers, to achieve the maximum profits for company.
Job Duties
1. RFQ Management
- Analyze the RFQs assigned by sourcing managers, request clarification of information that is unclear.
- Contact with existing vendors, or sourcing for appropriate new vendors to obtain quotations.
- Work with Sourcing Managers/BDMs to cross check prices against multiple vendors, to ensure competitive price, and ensure select appropriate vendors that can pass necessary audit requirements.
- Prepare standard ET2C quotations.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers, constantly search for better options, negotiate and compare the prices, quality and terms from different suppliers and ensure we are using the best one.
- Constantly source and propose relevant products based on clients' market trend, work with MKT to prepare PPT for new products.
- Visit Exhibitions to source new vendors and products, to establish a good vendor base.
2. Order Management
- Clarify all details relevant to the customer PO, prepare PIS/PP samples, work with QC team to confirm QC requirements/standards, to get approval from both customer and factory.
- Work with MIS to input all orders to SAP system accurately, coordinate with purchase team to send PO to suppliers.
- Provide related documents to HK FAD team in order to help them to receive payments from customers timely.
- Follow up orders from the very beginning till the end and deal with all emergencies between clients and suppliers.
- Keep an eye on the production to make sure all orders are qualified .Figure out solutions if there are any quality issues happened and delivery delay during the production.
- Work closely with internal QA/QC and suppliers to ensure product quality.
- Work closely with Purchase & Logistics department to ensure on-time delivery.
- Update the shipping schedules to clients timely.
3. Other Tasks
- Input relevant data (including vendor information/quotations, PCT, ET2C Quotation, etc.) in Accelerator system timely and accurately.
- Familiar with SAP system, work with MIS to make sure SO/PO is correctly input.
- Coordinate communications between clients, BDMs, Sales and suppliers in order to manage clients' expectation.
- Provide value-added service to all clients in an efficient and professional manner.
- Visit vendors to build partnership, arrange buying trip for customer visit.
- Other tasks assigned by Sourcing Manager.
Job Requirements
- Can be a new graduate. Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering, International Trade or Business English, or required background.
- At least 5 years working experience in international trade and/or required business background.
- Well organized, detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills as well as coordination ability.
- Excellent team work and communication\negotiation skills.
- Be able to work independently & good problem solving ability.
- High sense of responsibility, self-motivated and can work well under pressure.
- Familiar with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and ERP system.
- Good command of written and oral English.
- Willing to travel if necessary.
