QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Swissôtel Resort Bodrum Beach lies directly on the waterfront in Turgutreis, approximately 20 kilometres from the center of Bodrum. The main two-store hotel comprises 66 rooms and suites offering at least 40 m² per room, complimented by villas and duplex terraces in front, which house 72 serviced apartments that are 120-240 m² in size. The bars and restaurants are being created as places of entertainment where the ambiance is formal or casual and dishes are prepared with the finest local produce. Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of front of house and back of house during shift, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Lobby, Food and Beverage Outlets, Public Areas, Car Parking
- Meet and greet guests; efficient handling of check-in and check-out
- Conduct credit card checks; post room charges
- Ensure effective shift hand-over
- Working knowledge of Front Office systems, back-up and system recovery procedures
- Review and monitor early morning wake up call procedures
- Maintain correct guest registration cards
- Communicate guest complaints and problems, resolved or unresolved, to your Supervisor at shift change-over and document in log book
- Complete knowledge of all room types, hotel matrix, and facilities
- Review guest arrival lists and anticipate needs
- Operate communication equipment; manage incoming and outgoing calls effectively
- Ensure staff adhere to Standards and Procedures for cash handling
- Work closely with security to maintain safety in the Hotel
- Is fully aware of the Credit Policy
- Takes full responsibility of Front Desk staff in absence of the AFOM and FOM
- Ensure daily report is produced correctly and delivered in the morning
- Oversee Night Audit Function which includes :
- Produce Revenue Reports
- Perform file back up maintenance
- Review all audits and reconciliation of daily sales transactions of front office and all outlets, balancing all cash registers and reporting discrepancies to Line Managers
- Week-end and Month-end reports completed in line with policy
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in a related area
- Independent and self reliant
- Communication and Influencing skills
- Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action are foremost attributes
- Comfortable in discussion forums; able to represent ideas succinctly and convincingly.
- Proven experience in analysis and problem solving required.
- Team building skills and proven track record is essential.
- Self-study and independent work ethics are required.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is vital to the success of this individual.
- Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, PCs and office products, e.g. Excel, Word
- Excellent written and spoken English & Turkish communication skills and knowledge in an additional language, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
