- University Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Trading Department of an Energy Company
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, knowledge in MS Power Platform a plus
- Business Fluent in English
- Intermediate knowledge of Turkey’s energy market
- Accustomed with time series analysis or fundamental market modelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong self-motivation to constantly develop new trading and process improvement ideas
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work agile in cross-department teams
JOB SCOPE
- Participates in team rotation for supervision and, if necessary, manual intervention of daily operational portfolio management/trading activities, esp. day-ahead and intraday trading
- Carry out analysis using data from different databases and computer algorithms/programs to identify available trading opportunities and possible process improvements
- Be responsible (product owner) for different operational processes of portfolio management/trading, incl. reporting and data management as well as their continuous maintenance/development
- Solve issues related with processes/IT for operational portfolio management/trading activities in an interdisciplinary manner, i.e. in cross-departmental teams and agile working methods
- Assists in administrative duties related with portfolio management/trading, e.g. resolving discrepancies with front office, exchanges and clearing banks in cross-departmental teams
- Support power price risk management and market monitoring
- Monitor all types of Turkish and SEE wide traded power products, if beneficial trades are possible, execute trades and all relevant administrative activities
- Provide all relevant data for short-term portfolio management, esp. for day-ahead and intraday activities
- Provide all relevant data and constantly support to develop/adjust the annual budget and regular budget updates, esp. with respect to expected power plant revenues
- Build-up and constantly develop/adjust risk management for power plants with merchant risk with respect to changing market conditions
- Conduct ad-hoc market analysis and regular reports on the Turkish power market
