QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 330.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.
We are looking for a Product Development Engineer who will be reporting to the Product Development Manager.
Job Description:
- Integrating current market research and product requirements,
- Analysing additional requirements as new chemicals or new process equipments,
- Designing prototypes for conceptualized new product ideas,
- Fabricating prototypes for testing,
- Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems,
- Sampling different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances, and other factors to find the best ones that suit the new product brief,
- Fine-tuning designs until they are ready for production,
- Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team for production purposes,
- Manage project deadlines to achieve on-time documentation of product specifications and customer approval of sample submission.
Qualification:
- Graduated from Chemical Engineering departments of universities,
- 0-3 years of experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) schedules
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented,
- Understanding of statistical techniques and data analysis,
- Skilled using MS Office,
- Must enjoy and be successful working on a variety of dynamic projects,
- Ability to creatively solve problems (thinking outside of the box),
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a distributed team across Engineering, Design,Customer Success, Marketing and Business Development,
- Good command of English- both spoken and written,
- Residence in Yalova or Gölcük,
- No military obligation for male candidates.
