Provide manufacturing / technical assistance and leadership to assigned work group
Lead the shift base running large teams (manage production employees and production schedule requirements to include timekeeping, overtime, time off)
Support and meet production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage the area within budget guidelines and controls
Utilize data analysis to improve safety, decrease quality defects, and increase productivity
Communicate and enforce handbook and other plant policies
Interface with internal and external customers, define priorities for shifts and work group leveraging production meetings (and shift change meetings, as needed)
Actively participate in 5S, Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and corrective actions
Actively participate on cross-functional teams and demonstrate necessary leadership and coaching skills to other team members
Update and revise process specifications according to the revised production methods in order to secure Company Quality Policies and Customer Satisfaction
Control the maintenance activities in order to maximize the availability of machineries and equipment
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
Min. 1 year experience in manufacturing/production technology activitities
Leading Kaizen, 5S, Lean Production activities
Follow-up all production processes as well as coordination of corrective and preventive actions
Controlling & increasing efficiency and productivity and ensuring that all related time spend per activity is properly registered into system
Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications:
Welding Engineering diploma is an asset
Manufacturing/technology experience in welding/joining processes such as MIG/MAG, TIG and SAW welding.
Theoretical and practical welding process knowledge of related standards such as EN15614, EN15609.
Knowledge and experience of NDT control processes. Holding UT and MT certification would be plus. (EN 9712)
Knowledge or experience of coating applications would be an asset.
Managing blue collar workers in tank manufacturing workshop
Knowledge of EN 3834-2, EN 14731 standards is preferable.
