QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Heinen & Hopman is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join his team based in Istanbul, Turkey. The project engineer will work in concert with a multinational engineering team to put into use of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems installed in large marine vessels.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with a minimum of 2 or more years of experience in HVAC)
- Knowledge of the marine industry is a preference
- Eager to learn and willing to work in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Advanced level of spoken and written English
- Experience with SolidWorks is not a must but a preference
Key Responsibilities
- Undertakes HVAC calculations to determine main performance parameters, sizes and weights
- Analyses system (detailed design, engineering, testing, installation) and components for review with the Project Manager
- As appropriate, discusses HVAC requirements with vendors to obtain technical and dimensional information
- Works together with design specialists to prepare final drawings
- Must be able to execute tasks within budget and scope
- Must be a team player, good communication skills with fellow employees
