Project Engineer (Motion - Drives) İş İlanları

GENEL NİTELİKLER

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the support person for various engineering projects in Motion, System Drives in Istanbul, Turkey, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals. Reporting to the Channel Sales Manager, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities:

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments,
Provides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities,
Supports and develops after-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction and to improve customer loyalty,
Collaborating with sales function for successful order award by means of detailed technical knowledge on MV and LV Variable Speed Drive Systems,
Taking the lead on complex offers coordinating ABB factories and other non-ABB suppliers,
Conducting technical visits to Customer sites to assist service engineers during commissioning activities,
Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables,
Finalizes ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings,
Actively participates project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations,
Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.),
Applies basic Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts in projects.
Actively utilizes checklists to perform design verification according applicable standards and engineering guidelines,
Shares best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines,
Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility,
Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements,
Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas,
Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects,
Reports any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) for resolution.

Your background:

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Automation Engineering, or a similar field;
Min 3 years of experience in Variable Speed Drives Systems (transformers, drives, switchgears, motors), working as Project Engineer, System Engineer, Service Engineer or Product Manager/Specialist;
Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, aimed to design and size power electrical systems,
A good knowledge of Turkish and English both spoken and written;
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies;
A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills;
Willingness to take short business travels (by car, by plane, etc.) both in Turkey and abroad.
