GENMAR has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer with a dynamic and strongly passionate character to lead the projects of Finishing, Bonding, Sealing & Fluid Transfer Solutions Division of the company in assigned regions and customers.
Mission
Ensure customer satisfaction with value adding implementation of projects related to manufacturing and quality management based on a scope. Management of entire processes and leading the team linked to the implementation of such projects.
Experience
- Comprehensive experience in technical and commercial project management
- Experience in leading projects to design, produce and install industrial equipments and solutions in industries using automated processes
Knowledge
- University degree in electronics/mechatronics or mechanical engineering with further training in automation with adequate working experience
- Very good understanding of industrial automation
- Excellent technical aptitude
- Very good knowledge of MS-Office software (Word, Excel, PP, MS-Project)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Descent leadership skills

- 3D AutoCad&AutoCad Plant drawing programme

Reporting to Sales Manager, the Project Engineer will be responsible for the following roles and duties:
- Analyse customer needs/specifications and develop industrial solutions matching customer requirements and constraints in cooperation with partnering suppliers in line with the company’s strategy.
- Provide detailed proposals including accurate BOM (Bill Of Materials), pricing and documentation to Sales Manager
- Ensure feasibility, effectiveness and profitability of proposed solutions
- Prepare project specifications to internal/external suppliers, i.e. product suppliers, local Integrator companies, Line Builders etc.
- Prepare product specifications to be the reference for purchasing of the scope not supplied by represented product companies but from local/foreign suppliers
- Provide Sales & Project Support with accurate project BOM to be purchased and follow up strictly to keep our delivery promise to customers
- Prepare detailed project plans including timescales, cost frames and risk analysis
- Ensure and follow up all technical and other contractual items in close co-operation with related Sales Manager, Sales Engineers, Technical Service and the customers
- Update regularly project progress against plan and report to stakeholders
- Hold and lead internal and external project meetings
- Register and issue Minutes Of Meetings for the meetings held during the course of the projects
- Create an Open Issue Desk for each project and follow up closely to ensure that all subsequent action required is taken
- Coordinate the available internal/external resources to ensure the objectives of each phase of the project
- Handle the Claim Management inside the projects, treat changes of scope with influences on cost and/or delivery times creating technical and commercial actions of correction for such changes
- Act as the communication hub between project stakeholders building efficient, professional and structured Interfaces with Service team, Sales team and Customer in all project stages
- Implement projects under her/his ensuring on-time deliveries, and keeping costs in line with the budget
- Support development of new suppliers
- Continuously improve solutions’ costs, delivery times and quality by optimizing the processes and resources while staying in compliance with the company’s global standards
- Supervise site manager and service team to ensure proper implementation and schedule
