You will be part of the Quality team of Hitachi ABB Power Grids Insulation and Components in Tuzla in Turkey and reporting to the Factory Operations Director.
As a Quality Manager, you will establish and maintain a Quality Culture within Hitachi ABB Power Grids,Insulation and Components, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams. As a key member of the team, you will assure the effective implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes along the entire value chain to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment across the local business.
Your background
- University Graduate in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical /Electrical Engineering).
- Relevant experience not less than 8 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with 2 years in managerial position in similar manufacturing industries.
- Advanced level of both written and spoken English and Turkish.
- Experience and knowledge of problem solving methodology for example DMAIC, 8D, FMEA etc.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
- Decision making abilities, strong problem-solving skills for short and long-term issues.
Your responsibilities
- Managing, coaching and developing a high performing Quality Operations team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
- Implementing all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance.
- Performing audits and ensuring the use of analytics of Quality data from all parts of the operation to identify risks, failures and non-conformances within the local business, its suppliers and customers. Ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken and solutions are managed to closure.
- Ensuring that the Voice of the Customer is represented within the local business. Challenging the management team with customer experience feedback and input to decisions.
- Training others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.
- Managing the daily operations of the Quality team. Planning, prioritizing and delegating work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department.
- Monitoring accuracy of reporting and data base information and analyzing relevant data to determine Quality KPI’s internal and external.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to improve quality, productivity and profitability.
- Liaising with company management to support and implement growth strategies, evaluate and performance manage staff.
