QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a talented “R&D Project Leader – Built-in Oven” to lead the new product development and improvement projects. In this role, you will be working in TEKA İzmir R&D organization and contact with the necessary corporate functions during the progressing phases of the product development projects. Creating functional design concepts, defining and tracking the scope, cost, quality and timeline of the projects, organizing necessary communications are some highlights of the job description.
To ensure success, you should have theoretical engineering background, exceptional mathematical skills, a talent for design, and experience with team management. Top R&D engineers use their technical design skills to create functional and attractive products that are cost-effective and user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with business management, marketing, and the R&D team to discuss product ideas.
- Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
- Collaborating with the engineering and marketing department on product feasibility.
- Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
- Creating design projects and specification sheets.
- Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
- Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes.
- Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
- Resolving product issues.
- Overseeing the production process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical&Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience as an R&D Engineer or Project Leader at home appliance industry.
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.
- Experienced in implementing chip functionality and drivers (UART, I2C, SPI, BLE, bootloaders) for embedded systems,
- Experience in ST, NXP, Cypress, Renesas MCUs
- Having experience in electronic circuits, using revision control systems
- Experience with creating BoMs at MS Dynamics or relevant ERP software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge and hands on experience on MS Office tools.
- Experience with project management.
- Ability to translate design concepts into physical objects.
- Experience with Product Certification Process, EN standards and EU regulations.
