QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are one of the leading automotive steel wheel manufacturer in India supplying to all major OEM in India like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Ford, VW, Renault Nissan, Tata & Mahindra. Our product range comprises steel wheels for two and three wheelers, passenger cars, multi utility vehicles, tractors, trucks & OTR vehicles.

We have five manufacturing plants in India catering to all customers in India and export wheels to overseas market in Europe & USA.

We are offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in steel wheel design and analysis, in a technology base; Europe Technical Centre, located in Izmir, Turkey.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / material and metallurgical engineering or in similar disciplines. (A Master's degree in engineering is a plus.)
  • Having min 3 years of Finite Element Analysis related experience.
  • Having a strong understanding of FE theory is desired including fatigue calculation.
  • Knowledge of Hyperworks, Hypermesh, Optistruct and Radioss is required, Ls-Dyna, Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran,Forge Nxt or Simufact is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Topology and Shape optimization, DOE and Macro Scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of steel wheel design is required, tractor wheel and tool design is a plus.
  • Experience in product development and project management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Autocad and Inventor is required, Catia, Solidworks, Siemens NX is also acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Forge NxT or Simufact knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Script Language such as TCL, Python, Visual Basic or C++ is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications is mandatory.
  • Good level of English enabling free oral and written communication is mandatory.
  • Having strong analytical, planning, organizational, communication, decision-making and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to carry out detailed research, desire to keep up to date with new developments, creative approach when it comes to generating new ideas.
  • Ability to analyse problems and generate creative solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Development of steel wheels to increase the load capacity, reduce the weight, or increase the fatigue life with FEA calculations.
  • Using Hyperworks software for modelling in static, quasi-static condition and applying the loads & boundary conditions in Hypermesh.
  • Performing linear/non-linear static analysis, reporting the FEA results and calculating the estimated fatigue life.
  • Monitoring test results, real strain/stress data and correlate with FEA results to ensure to have a representative and validated engineering FE model.
  • Monitoring test results and find out the counter actions to solve the problems.
  • Using the topology & shape optimization with Optistruct to find better solution.
  • Writing the macro scripts in TCL format to develop current or new FEA methods.
  • Using Inventor for modelling the wheels and/or tools in 3D.
  • Using Autocad for modifying the technical drawings in 2D.
  • Using Hypermesh/Hypercrash and Radioss for process simulation.
  • Researching the new innovative ideas, new technologies and market trends.
  • Preparing the time plan for the projects, following up and writing reports & documentations.
