QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Research and Development Specialist to take part in Sisecam Mining Exploration Laboratory located in Çayırova/Kocaeli. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Graduated from Mining or Mineral Processing Engineering
- Preferably has a Master’s Degree in Mineral Processing
- Good knowledge of raw materials for glass and glass fiber production
- Advanced level of English
- Proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, preferably USIMPAC or other simulation software in mineral processing
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Excellent reporting skills
- No restriction to travel
Responsibilities:
- Execution of mineral processing and enrichment studies of industrial raw materials at laboratory scale
- Preparing mineral processing flowcharts and material balance for new and existing plants
- Conduct size reduction and enrichment studies of industrial minerals at lab scale, provide technical assistance to other divisions of company
- In line with the company’s needs, developing mineral processing flowsheets on investment projects
- Follow-up and investigate new technology and equipment on mineral processing, provide literature research, prepare publications
- Join field testing on industrial-scale raw materials, provide detailed studies on composition of glass raw materials
- Field assistance on commissioning and fine adjustment of equipment of mineral processing plants for trial / industrial scale production
- Join process development and quality improvement studies for existing mineral processing plants,
- Provide technical assistance on raw materials to mineral exploration teams on the field and the lab personnel
- Keeping laboratory equipment effective and calibrated
