QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

To download bookings from external reservation systems. SynXis and Infor HMS knowledge is a plus.
Controlling and communicating team members to ensure best reservations service before and after the reservation process.
Handling
Ensure that all team members answer incoming telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner in accordance with LQE standards.
To ensure all VIP and special requests are handled efficiently and accurately. Attend to arrival meetings and feed related departments with detailed information before guest arrival.
To have full knowledge of all rates, (rack, negotiated and promotional etc.), room types, overall hotel product and hotel’s primary competition.
To maximize opportunities for up-selling of room rates.
To send confirmations according to MOHG TCI and to ensure a 24-hour enquiry response period to all correspondence.
To check correspondence daily before arrival date and ensure all relevant information is acquired and fully documented.
To ensure that filing is up to date.
To uphold hotel credit and cancellation policy.
To attend sales familiarization events as required.
To monitor and control the daily operation of reservation agents.
Check the reservation files and all reservations made through different sources.
To monitor daily operations of reservations sales office and brief Revenue & Reservations Manager accordingly.
Controlling hotel room inventory through PMS and checking hotel visibility.
Controlling room allocation and communicating with related departments according to guest requirements.

Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant education.
Possess good communication skills and strong computer knowledge.
Familiar with reservations tasks and its workflow.
Ability to monitor a team, supervise and ensure the best guest service.
Minimum 3 years working experience in the luxury hotel industry; international experience preferred.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Turkish, Russian, or Arabic is a plus.
Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Able to multi-task and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of GDS including rate loading and management is a plus.
Familiar with computer software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Well organized and structured.
Strong customer service skills & excellent telephone manner.
