We are looking for an “Restaurant Manager” who is dynamic, creative, pro-active, analytical approached, enthusiastic, innovative and has strong problem-solving skills.
The “Restaurant Manager”responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent guest service. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have pleasant dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure high quality guest service in his/her area; is highly visible and actively participates in service; assists in taking and serving orders.
· Maximize revenue by effective table management and up-selling implementations; plans for additional resources during high volume periods.
· Engage in guest interaction in a sensitive and appropriate manner; creates personalized experiences; establishes a network of regular guests and keeps relevant and accurate records.
· Provide genuine hospitality and recognition, acts as host/hostess in the work area. Promote resort services and products.
· Plan and execute events; proposes menus and wine recommendations to event organizers.
· Take ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur.
· Is seen as actively developing his/her culinary and wine knowledge; Conducts regular food and wine tastings for employees; instills excitement and passion for international cuisines and wines in his/her team.
· Attending regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and partnership between departments.
· Conduct daily staff meeting to set the daily targets.
· Inspect and ensure the work area is in good physical repair; reports defects and ensures timely rectification.
· Perform pre- and post-service checks; ensures subordinates are immaculately groomed and aware of daily specials and promotional offers.
· Ensure all resources for and efficient operation are in place; takes routine inventories and re-orders operating supplies when necessary.
· Is highly sensitive to guest preferences; assists in compiling guest history; offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
· Assist the department head in sales and marketing activities, conducts and evaluates routine sales analysis and competitive pricing surveys; keeps abreast of F&B trends and new developments in the market.
· Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping inspections.
Qualifications
· BSc degree in Business Administration, Economics and/or Hospitality Management,
· Proven 5 years of work experience as a Restaurant Manager, luxury segment resort hotel experience is a plus,
· Excellent command of written and spoken at least one foreign language (preferably English),
· Extensive F&B knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and wait staff as well as a well-developed interest in food and wines; has undergone professional training in food and wine knowledge,
· Good ability to use Micros sales and order management system as well as MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) programs, Materials Control (MC) knowledge is a plus,
· Ability to prepare reports, analysis and presentations and to interpret them and take necessary actions in the field,
· Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
· Possessing business acumen, well developed guest PR skills and personal flair
· Sharp financial management skills
· Administrative and interpersonal skills are a must
· Team player & self-motivated
