We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join our team. As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will be a key member of the Independence Team and will operate across all PwC lines of service in Turkey; responsible for ensuring that the organization is in compliance with various regulatory requirements and that employees are in adherence with internal procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of professional experience with 3+ years in related areas (audit, risk management or compliance roles)
- Big Four experience would be a plus
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Flexible, co-operative and team worker
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a demanding environment with multiple projects
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
- Self – disciplined and ability to handle multiple tasks on a timely basis
- Strong rigour and attention to detail
- Ability to work pre-determined deadlines and meet objectives under pressure

Job Description
PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
- Support the other senior team members in performing risk assessment to evaluate major risks and controls in place and developing action plans for further enhancement of independence processes.
- Follow up on action plan progress and ensuring that all the required actions are performed / implemented in a timely manner
- Documentation of controls and monitoring activities related to independence.
- Have an oversight role on all monitoring activities performed by other junior team members
- Support other team members in coaching the junior members of the Independence team
- Assist in consultations with partners and staff on auditor independence issues related to both personal and firm-related independence matters
- Provide support and guidance to teams relating to their independence questions and queries.
- Work with the regional independence working groups to identify, assess and manage existing and emerging compliance issues and risks.
- Build relationships with PwC global and other territories independence team members through consultations.
- Manage and participate in independence processes improvement initiatives
- Ability to research and understand internal policies, external regulations and other supporting materials and apply it in the projects
- Monitoring communications from the global compliance team to ensure timely actions/ communication on key independence and regulatory matters and escalating any issues to other senior members of the independence
- Support the team in drafting Independence communications and alerts
- Assist with preparation for the PwC Global quality review processes and/or any regulatory inspections.
- Assist in preparation of regular internal and global reports in independence area.
- Other ad hoc projects
- Proactively managing the processes under responsibility without directions
- Managing and reporting project status and escalating issues
