QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS

This position, reporting to the Purchasing Manager, is responsible for performing purchasing activities such as stock, non-stock (Direct Charge) and service items requested from related departments. Also, ensures compliance of purchase orders with technical requirements, quantity, quality, delivery terms and as per company procedures & policies.

· University degree in Mechanical Engineering,

· Multi task working style ability with strong administration skills,

· Collaborative approach to work with all personnel and strong team ethic,

· Commitment to integrity, diversity and responsible environmental practices,

· Detail-oriented and proactive,

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

· Demonstrate sound work ethics, self-motivation and discipline,

· Ability to work well under pressure,

· Potential to take on further responsibilities,

· Excellent computer skills,

· Strong negotiation skills,

· Good command of English both written and spoken,

· Having knowledge of MS Dynamics AX ERP Purchasing Module or similar ERP systems,

· Minimum 3 years of experience on technical purchasing in mining or similar sectors,

· Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees and all suppliers.

· Must be well organized and detail oriented,

· Having no restrictions for travelling,

· No military obligation for male candidate,


JOB DESCRIPTION

· Creating Purchase Orders on MS Dynamics ERP system assigned by Purchasing Manager.

· Obtains optimum cost and required quality in accordance with the company policy, procedures and relevant department requests;

· Performs Sourcing, Supplier Pre-Qualification, Bidding and Negotiation activities aligned with company procedures and policies,

· Performs Supplier/Vendor Performance Management activities for performed purchase orders,

· Liaises between suppliers/manufacturers, and relevant internal departments,

· Evaluates bids and makes commercial recommendations,

· Obtains technical comments from related departments in case of need,

· Performs cost analysis based on customs, transportation, packing pricing elements…etc.

· Forecasting price trends, industry dynamics and reports to Purchasing Manager,

· Solves discrepancies occurred while receiving by Warehouse such as lack of material, damaged material and other problems that might occur,

· Performs purchasing process aligned with target KPI’s assigned by Purchasing Manager.
