Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist position reports to Senior Finance Manager, Turkey.
This is a hand on position in a startup organization that requires the reporting skills, analytical thinking capability, efficient communication and problem solving skills. Also, system/process development and improvement skills, good understanding of accounting and reporting principles in local GAAP and US GAAP/IFRS are essential for this role.
The Snr FP&A Specialist will mainly be responsible for performing and managing the followings:

  • Ensuring the adherence to USGAAP and Management financial reporting in HFM,
  • Managing financial analysis on monthly financial statements,
  • Annual and quarterly financial projections, and budget,
  • Business Partnering with Local General Manager and Franchise product Managers on Commercial Decisions like Sales Price determination,
  • Controlling Investment Analysis to launch a new product and providing Consignment Instruments to Dealers,
  • Supporting to Local general Manager on Financial Modelling/Strategic Business Plans for the next 3-5 years,
  • Implementing effective Forecasting Tools/System by collaborating with Operations Department,
  • Reviewing and approving the Discount & Pricing Forms before proposing any change to the Customers,
  • Supporting to Operations and Accounting Departments during Inventory Valuation process,
  • Participating in preparation of Process Narratives of Stryker Turkey inline with SOX principles.
  • Being involved in Regional projects

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely and accurate monthly financial reporting in Hyperion Financial Management Module (HFM),
  • Business partnering with the Local General Manager in preparation of annual and quarterly financial projections, and budget,
  • Timely and accurately financial analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements by collaborating with Finance Manager,
  • Managing reconciliation of the inventory and fixed asset sub-ledgers to the GL in the month-end close process as well as ensuring the application of the appropriate accounting treatments during inventory valuation,
  • Supporting to Finance Manager on monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts with appropriate support and collaboration by using Blackline system,
  • Managing and reporting analysis on the reconciliation between Stryker policies / US GAAP and Local GAAP financial statements,
  • Supporting to the Finance Manager for the SOX (internal controls) implementation and execution of periodic internal controlling activities,
  • Business Partnering with Local General Manager and Franchise product Managers on Commercial Decisions like Sales Price determination,
  • Controlling and approving Investment Analysis to launch a new product and providing Consignment Instruments to Dealers,
  • Supporting to Local GM on Financial Modelling/Strategic Business Plans for next 3-5 years,
  • Implementing effective Forecasting Tools/System by collaborating with Operations Department,

  • Improving HFM reporting process by implementing FDM tool,
  • Implementing Cognos, Danube analysis tools to improve the efficiency of financial analysis.
  • Academic qualifications / degree & relevant prior experience:
    Key Talents /strengths For The Role
    • University graduate with a strong academic achievement on relevant disciplines like Business Administration, Economics, Finance & Accounting,
    • Strong knowledge and experience about Turkish GAAP and other statutory legislations,
    • Strong experience on Financial Modelling, Reporting and Anaylsis is a must,
    • Strong skills in MS Office Programs.
    • Experience in ERP implementation is preferred.
    • CMA is a plus.
    • Hands-on ability to implement swiftly and effectively by taking ownership and accepting responsibility.
    • Well organized and abilities to set priorities to meet tight deadlines.
