QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a Site Construction Leader for our projects located in Turkey.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with project construction personnel and owner to resolve all project issues and administer and provide a response to all requests and evaluate compliance with all plans and specifications for the construction project.
  • To ensure compliance with all construction execution contract schedules and prepare all documents for construction management and provide support to all services and prepare final documents at construction completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and evaluate all proposals and administer all disciplines and supervise the efficient working of all project staff and ensure compliance with all design specifications.
  • Design and implement strategies of sub-contractors and design all project schedules and requirements and develop estimates for all change orders and perform regular tests on all construction activities.
  • Administer efficient working of all site staff and participate in all meetings with sub-contracts and evaluate progress on a regular basis.
  • Involvement in recruitment and leading site personnel.
  • Assist the construction team to perform all tests on pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and participate in all project schedules.
  • Provide evidence of the experience, training and proficiency of employees prior to starting work on worksite and organize the required trainings for the works.
  • Selecting tools and materials.
  • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety.
  • Checking and preparing site reports.
  • Maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up.
  • Supporting the preparation of Method Statements for site activities and risk assessments for minimizing risks and ensure all safety regulations are met.
  • Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork.
  • Developed an accident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and ensure rapid response to incidents at site.
  • Collaborated with location safety inspectors and operations regarding workers compensation issues, prompt settlement of claims, and direct implementation of strategies to resolve health and safety issues.
  • Created and maintained a culture reflective of a commitment to an injury-free workplace.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical, industry, metallurgical & materials).
  • Minimum 3 years site construction experience in a multi-discipline project organization preferably in oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Having high level representation, leadership, management and coordination skills to achieve project milestones and deliverables on time and complete large-scale projects with the team members.
  • Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills to resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, such as scheduling conflicts or materials issues.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation methods and regulations.
  • Good presentation and MS Office programs skills.
