QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration or position-related other fields; preferably a Master’s degree from an accredited university in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sustainability,
- Expertise with relevant reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., CDP, SBTi, GRI, SDGs, GHG protocol, UNGC principles, SASB, TCFD, etc.),
- Proven knowledge in Integrated Reporting, sustainability indices, value creation and impact assessment, circular economy practices,
- Hands-on experience in monitoring, measuring and improving ESG performance,
- Audit experience, preferably in social and environmental topics, is an asset,
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Standard and carbon footprint measurement,
- Knowledge of national and international laws and regulations related to sustainability,
- Experience in project management is a must,
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide integrated solutions,
- Analytical skills necessary to evaluate data, assess feasibility, and develop project ideas, as well as skills necessary to translate strategies and concepts into concrete practice,
- Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills with attention to detail,
- Excellent command of written and verbal English,
- Mastery of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) programs,
- Will be able to reside in Izmir or Manisa
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Improving the implementation and execution of the sustainability strategy which is integrated into Vestel's business strategy,
- Engaging and collaborating with internal stakeholders at all levels to advance the sustainability agenda and ESG performance,
- Taking an active role in working groups in environmental, social and governance areas and ensuring their management,
- Responding periodically to sustainability indices and assisting in taking action to improve company scores,
- Taking an active role in Integrated Reporting; collecting, consolidating, and analyzing data, as well as applying various international frameworks for reporting,
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly sustainability scorecards,
- Establishing methods for integrating responsible practices into core business operations and overseeing the identification and adoption of such practices,
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple external organizations and stakeholders,
- Creating and presenting reports and/or presentations in Turkish and English for internal and external stakeholders i.e. employees, media, government, community organizations, customers or other groups as needed,
- Assisting in regularly reviewing sustainability program objectives, progress and status to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations or laws.
