Role Description
As the system test engineer, you will get the unique opportunity to be a part of a cross-functional engineering team developing technologies and innovative product solutions across the Automotive Cockpit Electronics Sector.
Testing is a crucial element for the development of highly complex systems. The success of a project could be achieved by minimizing the number of errors and this position will be one of the main responsible for a successful product.
Role Responsibilities
- Working with a team of system engineers validating/qualifying for highly complex infotainment systems.
- Developing system testing strategy
- Creating and updating test procedures and plans
- Creating test cases according to system requirements and architecture.
- Performing tests, reporting results, and tracking defects.
- Performing regression tests.
- Providing pre-analysis for reported issues.
- Testing customer reported issues and providing missing data or information to the development team.
- Supporting 3rd party test labs
- Setting up test equipment and manual/automated test environments
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) and/or Master of Science (MS) Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or related disciplines also acceptable)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in automotive industry project processes and documentation
- Understanding of automotive system architecture
- Understanding of automotive system certification compliance testing
- Experience in Defect Management/Test Management Tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Codebeamer, Polarion, etc.)
- Knowledge on: MFI certification (iPod, Carplay), ATS tool, Android Auto certification, FM/AM/DAB RF performance testing, Audio performance testing, Bluetooth RF-PHY, Bluetooth PTS (profiles), USB-IF certification, EMC tests
