QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering or comparable course of study,
- Several years of professional experience in the automotive or supplier industry, ideally in product costing, cost engineering, development and/or procurement,
- Good command of English or German,
- Strong team spirit, communication and conflict management skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Planning, controlling and reporting of material and production costs for complex scopes with focus on exterior, interior and/or electrics
- Participation in the implementation of value and target cost management, combined with the corresponding cost optimizations
- Elaboration and evaluation of technical alternatives, derivation of target values for components/assemblies, preparation of decision documents and monitoring of costs in the individual stages of the development process as a member of SE teams (simultaneous engineering teams)
- Identification and tracking of technical and commercial potentials and risks
- Support in the generation of measures for the achievement of the targets
- Gaining knowledge from cost analyses and benchmarking activities
