QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Turkish Nacelle Center is a Joint Venture company between Collins Aerospace and Turkish Airlines Technic and was established in June 2010, located in Sabiha Gökçen Airport/HABOM, Istanbul. The company offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services of thrust reverser and nacelle systems to commercial airlines both domestic and international. We at present require an experienced individual who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our EMEA customers.
Ideally the candidate should have familiarity with engine nacelles, composite materials and structural repair techniques along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. The successful applicant will need to have a hands-on approach and a keen interest in the wider aspects of the business.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in Civil Aviation/Aerospace Industry
  • Familiarity with aero engine nacelles, composite materials and structural repair techniques along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes
  • At least 1 year of experience in structural engineering
  • Strong interpretation skills on maintenance instructions, manuals and blueprints
  • Knowledge of regulatory and aerospace quality requirements
  • Ability to coordinate tool design, acquisition, calibration
  • Experience in CAD software (Autocad and/or CATIA)
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English is a must
  • No travel restriction (anticipated at approximately 10%)


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for availability of all necessary maintenance data as required by Part 145.A.45 and ensuring that all maintenance instructions are in compliance with them
  • Responsible for operating the Technical Library, and ensuring that all technical data is controlled, in an appropriate manner to satisfy the requirements of EASA/FAA/local DGCA
  • Communicate the special repairs and modifications (design changes), including their classification and approval with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (Collins Aerospace Prestwick Service Center) and ensuring that they are compliant
  • Responsible for maintenance records to provide dispositions for out of manual damages.
  • Ensure that all sub-contract orders are correctly detailed and that the requirements of the contract/order are fulfilled in respect of inspection and quality control
  • Responsible for defect analysis in respect of component undergoing maintenance so that any adverse trends are identified and addressed effectively and promptly
  • Check the AD/SB requirements of the components under maintenance and taking required actions
  • Compliance with all RTX policies and regulatory procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements


The position reports to the local Engineering Manager and will have key relationships among the Local Team & EMEA Engineering Team.
