QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Fully understand and embrace Six Senses company vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.
  • Adhere to all Six Senses brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.


Specific

  • Work with an empathetic attitude and if there is any problem which cannot be handled, must contact Restaurant Manager/Asst. Restaurant Manager
  • Ensure that all guests are greeted courteously and attentively in the working area
  • Attend regular meeting and briefing to keep informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments
  • Be familiar with food menus and wine menu offered in outlets
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient service required by the resorts standards
  • Take order from any food & beverage outlet menus
  • Ensure all mise en place for restaurant service is correctly prepared prior to opening hour of service
  • Follow the leadership of the captain or supervisor on shift
  • Have a good knowledge of all outlet menu and F&B day to day activities
  • Recommend and promote items as directed by the Asst. Restaurant Manager
  • Maintain at all times the highest standard of social skills
  • Provides Management with creative ideas
  • Report maintenances faults

General

  • Make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of guest’s requests throughout service
  • Ensure that you’re working area is of exemplary clean nature
  • Ensure guest / room charges at points of sales are correct
  • Ensure that you are aware and informed of all products the resort use for restaurant service
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort
  • Fully understand the team goals and objectives, ensuring that the maximum is done to achieve the targets
  • Be present throughout service
  • Have knowledge of guests’ likes and dislikes throughout their stay
  • Always strive to perform any additional and responsibilities given
  • Complete any other duty assigned by management
  • Arrive on time in full uniform in accordance with the company grooming guideline
  • Knowledge of restaurant and bar procedures, set up and service
  • Very good command over written and spoken English
  • An offering of local language and their customs is highly encouraged
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask
