QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
Strength Analysis & Integrity department is looking for whole engine structural analysis engineer who will assess the dynamic behavior of the engine and perform thermo-mechanical analysis in order to determine the loads and clearances.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of whole engine FE (Finite Element) model for Rotor dynamic & Thermo-Mechanical analysis,
- Performing rotor dynamic analysis of aero-engine,
- Performing 2D clearance analysis of whole engine,
- Performing load analysis of whole engine to be used in LCF (Low Cycle Fatigue),
- Performing load analysis of whole engine for different mission profiles,
- Lead and prepare dynamic testing of aero-engines including instrumentation definition,
- Evaluate and document the test results,
- Mentor less experienced engineers and help them develop technical skills,
- Developing subroutines and simple codes in Matlab, Pyhton, APDL or any other programming language,
- Preparation of analysis methodologies,
- Documentation of results, best practices and methods,
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, MSc. or PhD in a related field is preferred,
- Fluent in English,
- 5 + year industrial experience in the rotor dynamics analysis and thermo-mechanical analysis of gas turbine engines in multiple projects is preferred,
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team,
- Experience with CAD softwares such as Siemens NX,
- Experience with NX Nastran, ANSYS or another FEM software,
- Experience in preparing test requests (dynamic, and clearence measurements), evaluating and documenting test results,
- Experience on related Military or commercial standards (such as MIL-E-5007D,etc.),
- Strong understanding of rotor dynamics theory.
